Melt chocolate in milk.
Add sugar and corn syrup. Cook slowly, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Bring to boiling. Cover and cook for 3 minutes.
Uncover and cook until soft ball forms, stirring frequently.
Remove from heat. Add butter and cool until lukewarm without stirring.
Add vanilla and peanut butter and beat vigourously until very thick and no longer glossy.
Quickly spread into greased pan.
Chopped nuts can be sprinkled on top if preferred. Makes 2 dozen pieces.
