This is our favorite way to cook carrots. They are so sweet and savory. These pair well with our Sweet and Savory Glazed Pork Chops. It may take a little longer for the sauce to thicken so add time and continue stirring until sauce thickens.
- 1 lb carrots (washed, peeled and cut)
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp water

Wash, peel and cut your carrots into 1 inch thick pieces.

Melt your butter in a medium to large sized saucepan.

Add your carrots, water, brown sugar and salt to the melted butter.

Bring to a boil, stirring frequently to dissolve the sugar.

Once it has reached boiling, reduce the heat to medium low and simmer for about 10 minutes, until the carrots are al dente and most of the liquid has reduced to a sauce. Stir frequently.
