Here's an easy to cook pork chop recipe that's got a sweet flavor with a hint of spiciness.
- 4 – 5 boneless pork chops, thick cut
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne powder
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
-
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
-
In a medium size bowl, combine the brown sugar, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
-
Rub the mixture over all sides of each pork chop.
-
Heat the olive oil in a large, oven safe skillet on medium heat. When the oil is hot, add the pork chops. Cook the pork chops for about 5 minutes on each side, until browned.
-
Check your pork chops with a meat thermometer to make sure the internal temperature is at least 145 degrees. If they are not 145 degrees, place the oven safe skillet in your preheated oven and cook for another 5 -10 minutes, until the pork chops reach 145 degrees.
-
Spoon the sauce in the bottom of the pan over the pork chops and serve.
